Finishing the Most Common Online Marketing Myth

The majority of small business owners believe one significant web marketing myth that you just need to have a web and drive traffic there to get online sales. However, this pattern is not valid anymore. The reality is quite different.

Today, any new qualified visits to your website, whether they are paid or organic, are becoming more expensive and difficult to get. While customer spending in the US and Europe is struggling, the number of businesses competing online has risen rapidly in growth, so those businesses have to share the few sales that exist. Why are Genuine Consumer Reviews Important for SEO?

As you build an SEO campaign for your business, a crucial element to include is consumer reviews. The endorsements are important as search engines often consider them to be fresh content, and they can lower bounce rates considerably too.

Genuine Consumer Reviews Important for SEOCustomer Reviews as Fresh Content

Regardless of any algorithm changes that occur on popular search engines, one constant that remains is that a consumer review is fresh content. Reviews continue to have high value for your company’s SEO ranking, regardless of search engine modifications. We recently tested and confirmed this concept by updating content on the website. The updates consisted of on-page content, blog posts and new displays of generated reviews. Read more...

Why Your Business Can No Longer Ignore Web Sales Conversion Rate

Online marketing is one of the fastest moving industries out there. While a few years ago businesses could neglect tweaking their website homepage for conversion rates, this is no longer a possibility.
Sales Conversion Rate

The Importance of Sales Conversion Rate

So, why has conversion rate become something vital for your business to consider? The answer is fast growing competition in every online segment. The high number of newly launched companies is proof of this trend, as most of these enterprises have an online presence.

Several e-commerce segments are experiencing massive growth as they sell furniture, clothes, gifts, gadgets, and more. Where you were once surrounded by, say, five players (just two years ago), now the competition has doubled, and all of the companies advertise heavily. Read more...

Do Positive and Negative Reviews Cause Changes in SERP Rankings?

Even though our last post is more or less about the same topic, we decided to share an interesting question and feedback that we just received from our friend and “SEO Guru” Mike, who runs the company Webpage Design Kentucky. When I sent him the latest version of CheckTick.com, he replied as follows:

“Very interesting concept. As I can see in internet marketing, there is a lot of review spamming going on. In a way, I think it is due to the new social indicators for SEO, as well as for the competitive edge the spammers think they are receiving. Do you think, with review spammers sending out negative reviews against competitors, that this causes a negative effect in the SERPs of search engines like Google for SEO?” Read more...

Tips for Webmasters: Go Local and Relevant for SEO Strategies

Tips for Webmasters: Go Local and Relevant for SEO Strategies
Local is really where it’s at for SEO. At a time when the online industry is growing at a faster pace than ever seen before, it is important for webmasters to develop strong SEO strategies. A great way to do so is to take a local, relevant approach.

Local Registration of Directories and Websites

For webmasters, take a look at the area nearby the client’s company headquarters. What businesses are close by, in terms of physical proximity? Use the places close by to help form a list of directories and websites; with that list, you can then submit the client’s site to the ones you deem most appropriate or relevant. Read more..

How Transparency Can Improve Your Online Sales Conversion Rate

Improve Your Online Sales Conversion Rate
For sales conversion rate to be strong, obviously you want to take leads and turn them into sales. The leads or potential customers are more likely to buy your products and services than competitors when they trust your company and what you sell. To gain that trust, transparency is crucial.

What does Transparency Mean?

Transparency exists on a few levels in the relationship between customers and companies. It can refer to the openness of the company’s transactions, such as making public its yearly profits, how it gathers data and its Privacy Policy. That way customers see the inside workings of the company, and that they have nothing to hide in their operations. Read more...

How Important Will Genuine Consumer Reviews Be in Your 2014 Marketing Strategy?

With recent changes to online marketing and SEO configurations, every unique visitor is even more valuable than ever before to a website – especially for an e-commerce one. For many online shops and e-commerce websites, the year 2013 was a transitional one, with some companies faring more positively at end of the year than others, due to the changes.

Significant Online Changes in 2013

The main reasons for the ups and down in 2013 were:

1)      The US and UK saw what was likely the highest number of start-ups since the 2007 recession, and since the online shopping and marketing boom began. In many cases, this means that where once we could see 20 direct competitors, we now see double that, even in niche markets. This trend has been difficult, even for professional marketers. The Sad Reality of Online Consumer Reviews

The Sad Reality of Online Consumer Reviews
Not every consumer or end user on a website fully understands the reality of the online review industry. As the virtual market clogs with fake reviews, it is a sad reality overall. Types of Reviews Online

You are likely to encounter many positive reviews online, for products, services and companies. The 5-star ratings look great; the temptation is there to take the reviews at face value and buy them solely based on the recommendations. Read more...

What Type of Reviews are the Most Valuable?

What Type of Reviews are the Most Valuable?
Genuine consumer reviews can be a valuable resource for potential buyers. These reviews provide information and experience about a product or service, and can be also a great tool for businesses. Companies, for example, can analyze reviews to find ways to improve their customers’ experiences or improve the actual product or service.

For Consumers, a Valuable Review is…

Experience surprisingly shows that end users or potential customers are more interested in seeing reviews that point to some sort of problem, rather than 100 percent or 5 star reviews that contain only praise. Read more...

Another Fake Customer Review Profile – What does it Look Like?

http://www.checktick.com/blog/another-fake-customer-review-profile-what-does-it-look-like/
As we previously discussed, many customer review profiles that are online are fake. It is part of the sad reality of consumer reviews today. We recently came across another unsuccessful company producing false reviews and here were a few details we noted about them.

In this particular profile example, we learned the company* is hiring writers to produce positive reviews and post them, with the goal to beat the real consumer’s online testimonials. Did we mention that the real reviews are primarily negative? So, they want to beat the negative ones to achieve a more favorable online standing. In reality, the more productive, ethical method would be to improve customer service and produce quality products instead, of course. Read more...
